For the second time, the Aspen Institute Kyiv, the Frontier Institute, and the CEO Club Ukraine held the Good Governance Forum “Ukraine 2025: Leadership Challenges.”
In 2025, Ukraine faces exceptional challenges that require exceptional decisions from its leaders. Leaders in politics, business, civil society, and local governance must adapt to conditions shaped by the lasting consequences of war, the country’s recovery, and global changes. Moreover, they must inspire their teams, find ways to foster cross-sector collaboration, build effective engagement with international partners, and integrate Ukraine into the global context. The future of individual organizations and businesses and the country depends on this.

Leaders focused on efficiency and responsibility — how representatives from different spheres can take the initiative, influence decision-making, and create conditions for change. In today’s realities, responding to circumstances and proactively shaping the agenda is crucial, which is key to overcoming Ukraine’s challenges.

The opening speeches were delivered by:
– Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine;
– Maria Berlinska, Head of the Victory Drones Project, Dignitas Foundation;
– Tymofiy Mylovanov, President of the Kyiv School of Economics;
– Yevhen Hlibovytskyi, CEO of the Frontier Institute.
The forum served as a space for open dialogue, where every participant had the opportunity to contribute. Over six hours, 120 leaders from various fields and backgrounds shared their insights on the most pressing challenges and potential solutions. This exchange of perspectives will strengthen participants’ readiness to unite efforts and act as a driving force for social change.

Yuliya Tychkivska, Denis Poltavets, Sergii Rogol, and Tetyana Troshchynska moderated the discussions.
We will soon share some key takeaways from the discussions.
The event was supported by NED (National Endowment for Democracy), the International Renaissance Foundation, and the EU-funded initiative “Continued Support for Comprehensive Public Administration Reform in Ukraine” (EU4PAR).
